Applications are now open for the 2025 Masters Compare £5,000 Scholarship! This scholarship provides an exciting opportunity to help you continue your postgraduate studies and start a masters course.
The Masters Compare Scholarship drawn in 2024 was awarded to Prashant. He is a full-time student studying an MSc in Computer Science at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).
The Masters Compare Scholarship can be a life changing experience for the candidate. One of our previous winners Marjana shared her experiences as a student with us, from winning the scholarship, studying during lockdown, looking for a job and how she achieved her ideal role in FMCG. Marjana successfully completed her degree and works for P&G as a Key Account Manager.
You can now participate in the next annual Masters Compare scholarship which will be awarded in the autumn 2025.
Entering the scholarship is easy. Simply register to receive our regular mailings and when you are ready, follow the steps to supply a personal statement up to 200 words explaining why you want to study your master’s degree.
You can register any time to our websites Masters Compare and Postgraduate Studentships.
You can use the scholarship alongside funding from the UK Government Postgraduate Loans scheme or any other bursary or merit scholarship you may be entitled to receive from your university. The scholarship is awarded on merit and it is not means tested.
The scholarship is awarded to a student with an unconditional offer to study a full 180 credit masters degree course at a UK university. Students currently awaiting the results of their undergraduate degree can apply as well.
If you have received a conditional offer from a UK university that is OK, but remember it is your responsibility to meet the university admissions requirements. Think Postgrad Ltd will confirm your admission status prior to the payment of the scholarship.
We ask each applicant to complete a personal statement. This is to show the judges that you are a dedicated student. It should demonstrate knowledge of your study subject and clear evidence of how you will use your masters degree to further your career ambitions.
The judges also look for candidates that participate in study related activities, and they post about them on social media. This shows that the candidate will be confident explaining about masters study to future students.
The judges will review all the applications and shortlist the candidates using the personal statement to decide between the students.
If you are looking for tips on the content of your statement then please read the blog posts and articles that the winners submitted to us. This article from Daria explains the legal challenges of using AI in your studies. And this post from Thalia explains her favourite tools for keeping organised for study while she working part-time.
You need to subscribe to our regular email newsletters. You can do this from either Masters Compare or Postgraduate Studentships. Once you are registered we will send you a welcome email containing details of the next steps.
When you are ready to apply, prepare up to 200 words for your personal statement and load it into the form on the Masters Compare website.
You can sign up to receive our regular email communications at any time, but the deadline to participate in the scholarship and to submit your personal statement will be Friday 22nd August 2025 at 5pm UK time.
The closing date to submit your 200-word personal statement is Friday 22nd August 2025 at 5pm (UK time).
The judging panel will review all the applications received and make a decision in October 2025.
The winner will be contacted and asked to submit their documentation to confirm their eligibility. This includes proof of enrolment at a UK university, which the winner must provide by the end of October 2025.
That’s OK - you can still participate in the scholarship. All you need to do is log in to Masters Compare using your username and password that you created, and follow the signposts to the Masters Compare scholarship.
