PGCE Secondary Education Studies - Teacher Degree Apprenticeship

  • DeadlineStudy Details: PGCE 1 year full-time

Masters Degree Description

Teaching at secondary level is a powerful opportunity to inspire young people at a key stage in their development — and this PGCE Secondary Education Teaching Degree Apprenticeship is designed to help you do just that.

As an apprentice, you’ll be based in a school where you’ll gain day-to-day teaching experience, while also studying the theories, strategies, and current issues that shape excellent teaching today. You’ll learn how to plan engaging lessons, manage behaviour with confidence, and adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of secondary learners across a range of subjects.

In addition to your core school placements, you’ll have the chance take part in a short placement in an alternative educational setting of your choosing — from special needs schools to pupil referral units or even educational teams in places like museums or zoos. Throughout your training, you’ll be supported by qualified mentors and guided by experienced academic staff who are passionate about teaching and learning.
