In a world where climate change and urbanisation are increasing how often and how seriously natural hazards occur, millions of lives and livelihoods are being put at risk.

Effective disaster risk reduction (DRR) is crucial for sustainable development and increasingly requires proficiency with advanced data analysis tools. 

There is a growing need for professionals skilled in risk science and digital technologies to address these challenges and minimise risks from natural hazards. Our new MSc in Informatics and Disaster Risk Management at Loughborough equips you with the digital informatics required to pursue emerging opportunities to improve DRR research and practice. 

Entry Requirements

A 2:1 honours degree or equivalent international qualification in engineering, geography, science or mathematics.

Qualifications slightly below this level, alternative qualifications, and/or professional experience will also be considered.
